Our Story

We are importers and distributors of premium Spanish Foods, serving the Irish foodservice market.

With over 20 years experience sourcing and supplying products to the hotel, restaurant and gastropub trade, we know what a good product is and only work with the best producers and suppliers across Spain.

Our Cooking Wines are from La Rioja, our Olive Oils from Malaga and our Paella Rice from Valencia, the home of Paella. With many regional cheeses and cured meats to choose from, we will transport you to the streets of San Sebastian, the La Boqueria in Barcelona or the island of Menorca.

With a dynamic team who are passionate about food and tapas, we understand the customers needs and will work closely with you to develop your menu so you can deliver an amazing food experience to your customers.

Alan Kelly


A native of Galway in the West of Ireland, Alan has over 20 years experience working in the foodservice sector. Having extensively travelled the world for a few years at the start of his career, he quickly developed a passion for food and on returning to Ireland was keen to explore opportunities within the food industry.  After a few years working in sales, in 2008 he co-founded Foodco and over the next 10 years would help drive the company to be one of the most dynamic and innovative foodservice businesses in Ireland. The lynchpin of Foodco was its excellent customer service and it’s ‘no nonsense’ approach to sourcing and supplying the best products from around Ireland and Europe. In 2019, Foodco was successfully acquired by the Henderson Group. 

With a love of Spanish food and culture and having built many relationships and contacts in Spain throughout his career, Alan is excited to build another food business, Txistorra Foods.
